Jobe Bellingham took for Twitter share a message with The City of Birmingham supporters after reaching an agreement with the club on a professional contract.
As confirmed by Birmingham Official Site Bellingham accepted the club’s contract offer yesterday and that particular deal will be officially finalized when he turns 17 on September 23.
The attacking midfielder also signed a scholarship which will allow him to continue to progress in his development.
Bellingham made his first senior appearance for Birmingham earlier this year in the FA Cup clash with Plymouth Argyle.
Following this breakthrough, the 16-year-old appeared on two occasions for the club in the league in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign.
Bellingham will now hope to follow in the footsteps of his brother Jude who played regularly for the Blues during his time at St Andrew’s.
As Birmingham prepare to take on Luton Town on July 30, it will be interesting to see if the attacking midfielder is included in the club’s matchday squad for this game.
After the Blues announced his deal, Bellingham admitted the Twitter that he can’t wait for the new season to begin.

The verdict
When you consider that the teenager was vaunted as a potential target for Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United, Birmingham will be delighted they were able to convince him to extend his stay at the club.
Bellingham will now be determined to make an impression in the Blues’ Championship later this year.
Provided the attacking midfielder continues to play week in and week out for Birmingham, he could improve significantly as a player under head coach John Eustace.
Drafted as a replacement for Lee Bowyer, Eustace could boost the Blues’ chances of achieving relative success in the second tier by adding new faces to his squad by the end of the transfer window.
